Dem Biden Administration seng lescht Attack op d'Wirtschaft

Dëst Segment of What’s Ahead puts the spotlight on a proposed Biden regulation that will seriously disrupt a significant part of today’s economy.

More and more people want to work for themselves. There are upwards of 50 million people who are independent contractors and are part of what’s called the gig economy. A Pew Center study found 80% of gig workers are satisfied with what they are doing. Yet at the behest of big labor, the Biden Administration wants to put the kibosh on much of the gig economy by forcing companies to reclassify most of the independent contractors they use as regular employees.

The White House tried to do this through legislation, but Congress balked. Biden is now resorting to a diktat, which the courts may eventually throw out.

It’s telling that the Bidenites are so clueless about the nature of today’s economy in contrast with the industrial one of the 1930s, not to mention their malignant desire to restrict people’s freedom in choosing how they wish to earn a living.
