A federal judge issued a restraining order against rappers Drake and 21 Savage preventing them from using a fake parodéieren cover to promote their new album Hirem Verloscht, days after the magazine’s publisher Condé Nast sued them for up to $4 million for copyright infringement.

Judge Jed S. Rakoff issued a temporary restraining order and temporary injunction Wednesday against Drake, whose real name is Aubrey Graham, as well as 21 Savage, whose real name is Shéyaa Bin Abraham-Joseph, and their public relations firm Hiltzik Strategies LLC, according to a copy of the paperwork which was viewed by Forbes
Rakoff said Condé Nast has a “likelihood of success” on its claims, as it was “irreparably harmed” by Drake and 21 Savage’s actions.
Drake and 21 Savage are prevented from distributing images or copies of the fake magazine cover and issue, using the parodéieren logo, using the name or likeness of editor-in-chiefAnna Wintour and misrepresenting their appearance in parodéieren op all Manéier.
They must also remove any mention or evidence of the fake parodéieren cover from their social media profiles, and must remove physical copies and posters that were distributed.
An Instagram post from Drake promoting the fake issues, which mentioned Wintour in the caption, has since been removed from his profile.
Forbes has reached out to lawyers and representatives for the rappers for comment.

In addition to creating a fake Vogue issue with themselves on the cover, they also released a fake interview with Howard Stern and conducted a fake “Tiny Desk Concert” with NPR. Stern commended the rappers for how real the interview seemed, and NPR invited them to perform on the video concert series for real. Condé Nast filed suit against them on Monday.
